TianJin Tanggu Valve Plant was established in 1956, specialized in producing medium and low pressure valves, it was the first domestic valve manufacturer that passed ISO9001 international quality system certificate by DNV international certification organization in 1993. As the first valve manufacturer imported the technology of Center Line butterfly valve from Mark Controls in 1980. It was regarded as the pioneer of the butterfly valves manufacturer in China. The center line butterfly valves awarded the Silver Medal of National Products in 1988. The plant established a joint venture with American Watts Industries Company in 1994.
